The best water park in the world

There I lay just like every other day in the summer watching some television. It was hot, as usual. I just happened to be watching a program on water parks. This particular show was talking about the two Schlitterbahn Family water parks. One was in San Antonio and the other in Brownsville, Texas. It looked like so much fun as I sat there in the sizzling house....
I ran to my mother and she came and watched the rest of the Program with me.
She agreed that I could go to Texas for my ninth birthday that was just three months awayto visit the inchanting park .

The week came and my birthday was very near. We packed up the car. Unfortunatley, we were going to have to drive seventeen hundred miles in the steaming hot subaru. I bet you can just imagine all the fun we had on that jouney! The hours came and went eventually, and we reached Texas.

I waited and waited for the twelveth to come so we could visit Schlitterbahn. The day arrived.
We bought our tickets and my sister and I could hardly keep still. We were practically jumping up and down with excitement. We purchased some tubes and walked into the water. The lines for the rides were in the water and there was a current that would take you to the different slides. We rode all of them many times. The most unique thing about this park and what makes it the best in the world is that the Schlitterbahn water parks were the only ones at the time that the water slides shoot you up as much as they do down (I dont know if they are still currently the only parks with this feature). My sister and I had a double tube and we went to the highest slide. We zoomed down it and were screaming and laughing the whole way as water splashed up in our faces. Then there was a tilt that was going upward and there was water that was shooting upward with the curve of the slide. It shot us up as quickly as we went down. I had an amazing sensation in my stomach such as the one you get when you ride a dangerous roller coaster. I never think I had as much fun that day then ever before.

After we had been playing for hours, we all knew it was time to leave. My dad bought us some Dip n' Dots that we enjoyed when we were about to head out the door. Then, we saw a suvaneer shop. We all went in together to buy some shirts that we could bring back home. I remember getting a large, purple shirt with three cartoon drawn hawaiin girls wearing grass skirts and coconut bras. It said in large letters, "Schlitterbahn." I also got another shirt with a green, blue, and purple turtle on the front. I loved these shirts and when we got back to Utah, I wore them quite often to school.

I will never forget our fun adventure to Texas and I hope I can go again some day regardless of the high temperatures! :)
