Criticizing

Why does everyone have to criticize every, single thing? Why can't anyone go through a day without thinking a thought about something or someone, that can be negative or positive, when they don't even know the person?

Have you ever heard the expression, "Don't judge a book by its cover?" Everybody does!
When I was in sixth grade, there was this girl in my class (I will not menchion any names). She was slightly overweight and had a lazy eye. She didn't have much friends so my friends and I became her friend. She was really actually nice. Everyone always said all this cruel stuff about her behind her back and made up all these rumors about her when she was a good person. They didn't even know who she was. Some of them didn't even know her name. They still criticized her by the way she looked.

Sometimes there are people in this world that are generally good people, but are not the most gorgeus people in this world. Just because of that, they are criticized and made fun of when they could be the most awesome person in the world to be with.

Here is another example: I have this friend who has black hair, wears eye liner, ect. Everyone who doesn't know her, thinks she is scary somewhat. Let me tell you... She is awesome! She is such a good friend and so much fun to be around. Almost everyone that actually knows her loves her.

Sometimes, people are not critized by thier looks, but just by one small action that they did. Lets say someone got into a fight and you heard someones side of the story but not the other side. If you are friends with that one person, then you are most likely to think of the other person the way they described them to you. You will start to think of all these conclusions about the other person and how horrible they are. They could be really nice after you actually get to know them. You have no clue what that person is like if you just hear who they are thought through another persons eyes.

The thing is, I am not the innocent person in this issue. I criticize myself. Like I said before, everyone does! You might not shout it out, or be the person that spread all the rumors, but in the back of your mind when someone does or says something, you are criticizing them! I do it myself. I will even show you when I do it! My friend has an enemy and they hate each other for various reasons. She told me all the stories and I can see why she feels what she feels from what she has told me. I don't really like that girl even though I haven't even had a steady conversation with her.

So I don't really even know my point here. Alll I am saying is that everyone criticizes and it isn't a good thing. How about we all set a goal here. Try not to say bad things about people because you might not know their side of the story.

BYE!!!

WINTER and its miseries

You walk outside.... Your fingers are revealed to the temperature around you. It goes up your arms, down your legs to your toes, and then it touches the tip of your nose and ears and spreads across your face. Your teeth start to chatter. Your legs start to shake. Your breath is a mist in the foggy air. Everywhere you look is white, White, and more WHITE! I am sick of the winter! Spring needs to come...SOON!

Winter can be fun....at times. I love winter for the first week! You can go sledding or skiing or snowboarding or skating. You get to watch amazing shows on television about famous atheletes doing what they do best: winter sports. You get to wear you adorable sweaters that you just bought with your fuzzy boots and coats. Its all fun...at first!

After a while I start to notice these things happening...
The heater in my house barley works so when I get out of the nice, warm shower in the morning, I am curled up into a little ball trying to warm myself and take away the pircing cold of the winter.

I walk outside hurrying as fast as I can to the blue subaru when I slip of the hard ice. "Thats just great!" I think to myself. "Now I will have a bruise for the next week!"

Then...If your sister has the sudden urge to laugh at your pain, she can do it in less that five seconds. She runs. She jumps! A flash of pain goes though my back preventing me from standing up straight. I slip once again and I am soon laying face down in the snow. My sister, Christen is on top of my back. She is rubbing more and more snow in my face laughing her high, ear drum breaking laugh as I plead her, "GET OFF!!!"

Winter needs to torture me no longer! I need warmth! I want to be able to wear my tank-tops and my short-shorts! I want to go swimming in the cool water in the hot sun! I need to turn my pale body into the old perfect tan I miss! I know I'm crying like a baby! I will do anything (except wait a few more months). I want it to be so hot outside that I can cook an egg on my front porch!

Why can't mother nature make it warm outside? All she needs to do is take her amazing, magical wand and...POOF! Summer is here! Or spring... I really don't care as long as it isn't a cold miseable **** outside.

PLEASE...I BEG OF YOU....DO IT FOR US MORE UNFORTUNATE ONES!

The best water park in the world

There I lay just like every other day in the summer watching some television. It was hot, as usual. I just happened to be watching a program on water parks. This particular show was talking about the two Schlitterbahn Family water parks. One was in San Antonio and the other in Brownsville, Texas. It looked like so much fun as I sat there in the sizzling house....
I ran to my mother and she came and watched the rest of the Program with me.
She agreed that I could go to Texas for my ninth birthday that was just three months awayto visit the inchanting park .

The week came and my birthday was very near. We packed up the car. Unfortunatley, we were going to have to drive seventeen hundred miles in the steaming hot subaru. I bet you can just imagine all the fun we had on that jouney! The hours came and went eventually, and we reached Texas.

I waited and waited for the twelveth to come so we could visit Schlitterbahn. The day arrived.
We bought our tickets and my sister and I could hardly keep still. We were practically jumping up and down with excitement. We purchased some tubes and walked into the water. The lines for the rides were in the water and there was a current that would take you to the different slides. We rode all of them many times. The most unique thing about this park and what makes it the best in the world is that the Schlitterbahn water parks were the only ones at the time that the water slides shoot you up as much as they do down (I dont know if they are still currently the only parks with this feature). My sister and I had a double tube and we went to the highest slide. We zoomed down it and were screaming and laughing the whole way as water splashed up in our faces. Then there was a tilt that was going upward and there was water that was shooting upward with the curve of the slide. It shot us up as quickly as we went down. I had an amazing sensation in my stomach such as the one you get when you ride a dangerous roller coaster. I never think I had as much fun that day then ever before.

After we had been playing for hours, we all knew it was time to leave. My dad bought us some Dip n' Dots that we enjoyed when we were about to head out the door. Then, we saw a suvaneer shop. We all went in together to buy some shirts that we could bring back home. I remember getting a large, purple shirt with three cartoon drawn hawaiin girls wearing grass skirts and coconut bras. It said in large letters, "Schlitterbahn." I also got another shirt with a green, blue, and purple turtle on the front. I loved these shirts and when we got back to Utah, I wore them quite often to school.

I will never forget our fun adventure to Texas and I hope I can go again some day regardless of the high temperatures! :)
