Las Vegas and Spring Break

I can't wait until spring break! I'm so exited! :) :) ;D
Last year, Spring Break was only a few days long so I am glad that the District changed it back to the traditional week.

Its been years since we went to Vegas. Last time we went, we saw my uncle, Glen. He is an electronic genius! He has helped build rides in Disneyland and helped built the electronical stuff in the Cardinals Stadium. He is really laid back and fun to be with. He had brought his son and our cousin, Jason along with him. We also got to meet Jason's girlfriend.

Last time we were there, we went to Caesars Palace. It was amazing and If I am not mistaken, we went to an inside theme park called Adventureland. I'm not sure if that's what the name was, but I believe it was in Caesars Palace as well. We also went to an arcade somewhere. It was huge! I swear it took up a whole building full of games of all sorts. My uncle gave us twenty dollars each to blow in there. That is a memory I will never forget. After that, my parents gave my sister and I money to get tickets to ride the famous New York, New York. It was about twenty five dollars a person! my sister and I rode side by side screaming. She's is the one that convinced me to go on the ride. When we were going up the largest peak of the roller coaster and I repeatedly said, "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!" We were both laughing our heads off regardless of how scared we both were. Right as we went down the steepest peak, it was all fun from there. I love the feeling you get in your stomach when you ride a roller coaster. It is an unforgetable feeling!! :) :) :)

This time when we go to Vegas, we are going to this really nice and fancy hotel called the Mirage. I cant wait to live in luxury! I miss the summer and when we are there the weather will be nice and we can go SWIMMING at the giant pool at our hotel. VEGAS, HERE I COME!! YES!!

ROXY

Here she is! :)
Shes so tiny!

A few days ago, my sister and my mom picked me up from school like any other day. This day there was something unique happening that I wasn't aware of, however. "Where are we going?" I asked as we started to head the opposite direction from home in our little, white car. My mother turned to my sister and asked,"Should we tell her?" "I will," my sister replied. "Kenzie, we are taking you to West Valley." "What are we doing there?" I asked. "We hired a hitman to come and murder you and we are taking you to thier house and dropping you off." My mother and I started laughing and she pulled in to McDonalds and I got a snack. "You think I'm kidding?" she asked with a serious tone. "You better be," my mom said as we continued driving and I munched on my cheeseburger. "Do you want to tell her the REAL reason?" my mom asked my sister again. "MOM! You are horrible at surprises. Just let her try to figure it out for herself!" Suddenly, my mom's phone started ringing. She pulled it out of her pocket and flipped it open. "Hello?" "Yes, yes. I looked up your address on Google Map and I've got cash." "Bye." she flipped it closed. "So you are buying something!" I stated. "What do you think it is?" my sister asked. I tried many guesses and they said I wasn't even close. I didn't care. I love surprises.

We reached West Valley and my mom couldn't find the house with the, "Merchandise," we were purchasing. She asked for directions from two or three different people and we finally found the house. This woman came outside her front door and looked at us with a grin. "Is that my assasin?" I asked. "How did you know?" Christen asked. We opened her gate and walked into her lawn. There I saw a grown doxin that was running around the lawn. "OH MY GOSH! We are not getting a dog are we?" "Not yet." my sister replied with a smile on her face. "The puppies are in here." The woman said. I was shocked. I knew my sister wanted a doxin but I had no idea that we were actually going to get one! We walked into the living room and there was a box in the center of the room filled with blankets. I peered inside and I saw three tiny little puppies. They were so cute! "They are four weeks old." the woman told us. My mom introduced us. "Do you like them?" she asked me. My eyes twinkled. "Yes!" They took the puppies out of the box and they were so sweet and playful. There was three pups, one boy and two girls. My mother had her eye on a particular one. "Which one is your favorite?" my mother asked Christen and I. We both agreed on one of the girls who was especially sweet and adorable. We chatted with the owner for a while and she let out thier mother. The mother was as sweet or even sweeter then her pups. My mother pruswaded the owner to sell us the puppy right away. She handed her three hundred big bucks and we wrapped our baby in a blanket and headed to get some greek food.

"Your father is going to kill us," our mother said. My dad was on a business trip and often when we was gone, we would add another member to our family. It made him angry. We have gotten practically all of our pets without his permision because we know he would say no. We always make him give in. :)

We kept discussing names on the way to the restaraunt and on the way home. We all finally agreed on the name Roxy! It fit her personality so well. We have had her for two days now and love every single thing about her.

The Hozians

My sister and I have a really close friend named Colton. We are practically related. He is a blast and is always up to have a good time and we are really close to his family as well. He has two little sisters that adore us and we love being with them too. Hayley is twelve and Alyssa is eight. Their parent love us too and we call them Mom and Dad. Lets just say, we are like family with the Hozians.

The last two days, Colton had some more realitives that came over. It was a large family reunion and Colton being sixteen hadn't seen them since he was eight. We met his two aunts and his cousin Tina. We got to know her more and more. The more we have gotten to know her, the more we have liked her.

When we first arrived, everyone was in Colton's Basement getting ready we soon learned to watch a homemade movie called JUNGLE FIGHTERS. As we approached the living room, Alyssa gave me a large hug, and then Hayley and I hugged each other so hard we couldn't breath. She sat on my lap as we prepared to watch the movie. My sis sat behind us sipping on a Coke and talking to Colton. Then Dad told us to be quiet because the movie was about to start. The movie had Coltons grandpa and great uncle in it. The movie was about a man whos, "Girl," got stolen and he went though an adventurous and epic journey to get her back. In the end, the, "Girl," (whatever object that might be) was a dog in this case and was saved.

After that, we watched a JUNGLE FIGHTERS 2001 which actually had Colton, Hayley, Alyssa, Mom, Dad, Tina, and Colton's aunt starring in it. They were all much younger then. Colton was about six with his cute, little chubby cheeks, Hayley had just turned three, and Alyssa could barley walk. The movie was also very epic and funny like the last. Hayley was the, "Girl," in this case.

After we finished both movies with laughs and inside jokes, we planned up another JUNGLE FIGHTERS. I think they are going to make it next week as a continued version of the 2001.

I hope that Christen and I will get to star in these traditional movies so we will get to watch them over again every few years and bring back all the unforgetful memories that we shared with our second family.

Jobs

At school last week, we had job interviews. We get graded on how well we do! I don't understand the point! I think it is great that the school wants to prepare us for the future when we get real jobs, but why do they have to grade us on how well we do?

I tried out for a job at the Lagoon amusment park. I tried out for a REAL job. I actually got the job. So this summer while everyone is partying, I will be making people burgers in the food divison. It is going to be a blast. Why did I take the job you ask when I am just complaining about it? I am taking the job because I NEED MONEY!! Some kids my age get beautiful allowances that they can spend freely as they choose but I have to earn my money. I am going to have to work my butt off in the hot sun to get a small six fifty an hour. I guess the good thing about Lagoon jobs is they make you realize how important it is to go to college. I bet it will show me.

Back to the subject....as I said before, I got graded on how well I did on my job interview. I got one out of five on one of the sections because I didn't ask my interviewer any questions. What is the point of that? I didn't have ANY questions! My sister worked at Lagoon last year so I knew all the basics and My interviewer had explained all the rest. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand all the concepts at Lagoon! Plus, they give you a small packet full of everything you will ever want to know about the amusement park and more.

Then, there were the kids that were not even applying for a real job. What was the point of that? The school was just getting spazzy kids worked up for a job they would not even get. Thats just a packet of stress they don't even need.

I noticed that you get asked very bizarre questions at interviews. Such as, "On a scale of one to ten, how trustworthy would you say you are?" What do you expect kids to say? "Well, I think I would say im about, uh, um, a 2 because I tend to steal things." If anyone was a theif, they wouldn't go out and yell it! Or another question I got asked, "What is your biggest weakness?" Am I going to tell them the truth? "I tend to fall ALOT, make messes, and drop things." NO! NO! NO! I actually said, "I don't really have any weaknesses. I'm usually good at everything I try." Guess what? My interviewer replied, "Thats good." You might think that I am horrible to say something like that, but I am guessing you would do the same thing! If not, I apologize I can't be such as saint as you are.

Just to remind you, I got the job!
